Edusoft was pleased to collaborate with Universidad Mesoamericana (UMES) in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala on a series of impactful sessions focused on the role of English in today’s workforce.

Across eight sessions, approximately 1,500 students from a wide range of academic programs participated, creating a strong institutional impact. The sessions introduced students to the importance of English proficiency as a critical skill for career advancement, with a particular focus on TOEIC for employability.

Through practical examples and real-world context, students were able to clearly connect their English skills with future job opportunities. TOEIC was positioned as a valuable, internationally recognized assessment that can help validate their proficiency and differentiate them in an increasingly competitive, global job market.

One of the most notable outcomes was the high level of engagement and motivation among participants. Students demonstrated a strong interest in strengthening their English as a strategic complement to their professional education—recognizing it not only as an academic requirement, but as a key driver of future success.

This initiative reflects a growing commitment among institutions to align learning with workforce needs, combining assessment and learning solutions to better prepare students for real-world opportunities.
